After the 29th edition of this season’s Nations Online Oware League, 85 players representing 29 known national teams in total have participated so far. A week ago 10 national teams participated. The teams with the most players still remains Ghana 🇬🇭 (13), followed by Nigeria 🇳🇬 (11), and Uganda 🇺🇬 (10).
These three national teams still hold the top three positions in the league. Ghana 🇬🇭 with 13 players, has stretched its lead to 728.0 points, increasing its lead by 394.5 points ahead of Uganda 🇺🇬 last season’s winner in 2nd place, with 362.5 accumulated by 10 players. In 3rd place is Nigeria 🇳🇬 with 10 players, with 362.5 points, over taken by Uganda 🇺🇬. Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 is still holding its own with just 2 players in 4th position with 222.0 points. Whilst the UK 🇬🇧 with 5 players has amassed 145.0 points.
Well done to Ghana 🇬🇭 for maintaining its lead, and consistently fielding the most number of players for each tournament, 7 last week. The stagnant numbers indicate there is plenty to do for the new a growth spurt to materialise. With 23 tournaments remaining, will any nation rise to the challenge and organise its players to challenge the top & top three positioned teams. Having reached the halfway mark there is still enough time for organised teams to climb up the ranks.
Once again national teams from Afrika, America & Asia (Europe) were all represented. 29 tournaments into the new season, we have surpassed the halfway mark and have surpassed last season’s total of 25 nations, one record that has been broken. Let’s double our efforts to get players from other nations to participate in this league.
*This is a geopolitical continental breakdown*
Afrika - 4
America - 2
Asia - 2
Europe - 1

These 3 nations fielded teams for the inaugural season: Spain 🇪🇸, Costa Rica 🇨🇷 & Italy 🇮🇹. Let’s encourage them & other national teams to field players to represent their countries in this season’s league.
Take advantage of these practice tournaments to practice the signing up process in preparation for championships to come. Participate to gain points for your nations team and place it on the Oware map. Well done to all 29 known national teams that have participated so far 👏👏👏
