Last week’s number of active players in the all time top ten players list increased to four. Probably a legacy of the Online Male Oware Championship played the week before. In addition to this the influx of master players from Benin 🇧🇯 continued, with its subsequent effect of the dampening effect on players ranking points.
The Oga Ota of Nigeria 🇳🇬 mrjohnson remains in the lead, with a record breaking 2384 points. Engaging in training sessions with master players from several countries. He may have lost the odd game here & there, but no player has been able to defeat him in a match of 3 games or more.
A new player on the block sikandou from Benin 🇧🇯 was able to make it into the active top ten for the first time with 1753 points. The threshold for entry into the active top ten decreased slightly. All the players in the list are orange zone (1800+) master players except sikandou 🇧🇯 & oladelefire 🇳🇬 orange zone players with 1753 & 1733 points respectively. Well done to them for prevailing amongst such intense competition 👏👏👏.
The giant of Afrika, Nigeria 🇳🇬 continues to dominate the top ten of active players ranking list, with the sane 5 players in the top 10; mrjohnson, akere, akinking 🇳🇬, oladelefire & 🇳🇬 joshyboo1. The same three players from Ghana 🇬🇭: akrugu, ayirungo & roberisco continue to make their presence felt, hot on the heels of Nigeria 🇳🇬. grandmastert from Antigua & Barbuda 🇦🇬 once again remains the lone ranger, being the only known player from outside Afrika in the list. To complete the list is sikandou from Benin 🇧🇯 in 9th position, making his debut.
Just below the top ten radar are master players like kasoniga 🇳🇬, dsk 🇧🇯, ocato 🇧🇯. etc among the active players & the hibernators: aiyedunseun 🇳🇬, tchayna , lordcity 🇬🇭, e17 🇰🇿, masterfisz 🇵🇱 etc waiting in the wings to take their places.
