The numbers in the brackets indicate the number of players that have represented each country.
Last week’s dominance of Uganda 🇺🇬 players predictably dwindled to three players, post the Ugandan Online Oware Championship. Sharing the top spot of number of participants with the Czech Republic. In fact seven of the countries represented fielded two players each. The remaining three countries fielding one player each.
Once again tournament concluded on Saturday just gone did not change the top half order of the country rankings. Uganda 🇺🇬 is still in the lead by a huge margin. Nigeria 🇳🇬 however continues to make ground on the 2nd & 3rd positions, and will soon surpass them if it continues at this pace.
We are now in the second half of the league. Any country that wishes be earn the title of Top Online Oware Playing Nation, will have to demonstrate a superior level of organisational acumen, and do so fast. With the right number of players of great enough skill it is possible to surmount the gap. The question is will any nation be able to get organised in time?
