After the 31st edition of this season’s Nations Online Oware League, 87 players representing 30 known national teams in total have participated so far. 9 national teams participated in the last edition of the tournament. The teams with the most players still remains Ghana 🇬🇭 (13), followed by Nigeria 🇳🇬 (11), Uganda 🇺🇬 (11) in joint 2nd place & Benin 🇧🇯 (11) in
7th position.
These three national teams still hold the top three positions in the league. Ghana 🇬🇭 with 13 players, has stretched its lead to 803.0 points, increasing its lead by 411.5 points ahead of Uganda 🇺🇬 last season’s winner in 2nd place, with 391.5 accumulated by 11 players. In 3rd place is Nigeria 🇳🇬 with 11 players, with 376.5 points. Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 is still holding its own with just 2 players in 4th position with 233.5 points. Whilst the UK 🇬🇧 with 5 players has amassed 154.5 points.
Well done to Ghana 🇬🇭 for maintaining its lead, and consistently fielding the most number of players for each tournament, 5 last week. With 21 tournaments remaining, will any nation rise to the challenge and organise its players to challenge the top three positioned teams. Having surpassed the halfway mark, is there is still enough time for organised teams to climb up the ranks?
For the first time since the start of the new season players from the American continent were absent. So national teams from Afrika & Asia (Europe) were represented. 31 tournaments into the new season, way past the halfway mark and have surpassed last season’s total of 25 nations, we are in record breaking territory. Let’s double our efforts to get players from other nations to participate in this league and make it past 35 nations.
*This is a geopolitical continental breakdown*
Afrika - 4
America - 0
Asia - 2
Europe - 3

These 2 nations fielded teams for the inaugural season: Costa Rica 🇨🇷 & Italy 🇮🇹. Let’s encourage them & other national teams to field players to represent their countries in this season’s league.
Take advantage of these practice tournaments to practice the signing up process in preparation for championships to come. Participate to gain points for your nations team and place it on the Oware map. Well done to all 30 known national teams that have participated so far 👏👏👏
