This week’s Chronicles of players on the playok platform and their rankings had plenty of excitement and upsets. The leader board changed briefly with dsk taking the leadership position briefly with 2150 ranking points from serikaktayev with 2147 points. Only to lose this lead by losing single games to szczor1, ddi, winin and drawing with panfile, in their matches.
Risers: This week saw the resurrection of masterfisz, back into a top five position, defeating players such as dsk, szczor1, euwe18 and lewykapy in the process. Another player who followed in masterfisz’s footsteps was salgerd who rose from 14th position to 7th. Other risers were wkc1342, alim0504 and oware22. Risers into the top 50 are radka183 and mankalacz.
Fallers: Notable fallers were jeandidier, who dropped to the 36th position. Remaining in the same position but dropping some points is zingman. Also falling out of the top 50 were harrison01, szusta, fedem, carlomonte, elefanti, big30, tornados & aks180.
Newcomers on the block: panfile burst on to the scene with a marathon series of 11 games with harrison01, the result being (11 – 0) on Tuesday 29th September. Panfile’s progress continued until it was halted by leprophete on Sunday 4th October in a thrilling 6 – 1 match. Another new-comer in to the top 50 is voileu1
This week’s activities has been marked by lower ranked players taking games of higher ranked players. Last week’s rising start mbabayayo was missing in action and remains with the same ranking points as last week.
Practice Tournament: Saturday’s practice tournament featuring 18 players, with a sprinkle of new players to the tournament: sahoud & jojojoyeux, was won yet again by leprophete, the 5th time of claiming the tournament title. Notable was the performance of harrison01 & ddi who placed 2nd & 3rd respectively.
