As the weeks go by and play in the ashanti room of the playok platform continues in a sustained manner, with the current crop of players the outcomes of the rankings seem to be more and more predictable baring one or two exceptions. The top five once again stayed the same, although I must say largely due to inactivity of four of the players. dsk still reigns supreme extending his lead, with masterfisz and wkc1342 snapping at his heals. An interesting feature of the ranking s is that out of the 173 players covered only 46 were active last week. Most players either moved up or down one place with a few exceptions.
Risers: masterfisz rose one place to 6th position, winin rose 9 places to 20th position. harrison01 the largest riser in the top 50 rose 25 places to 23rd position. kzkz88 a promising new-comer from recent weeks rose 4 places to 29th position. monkftw winner of the practice tournament rose 15 places to 32nd position. lordsoso came back into the top 50 rising 20 places to the 33rd position. kostyan2 the first European Online Oware Champion rose 5 places to 46th position. ddi rose 6 places to claim the 48th position in the top 50
Fallers: wkc1342 fell one place to 10th position. panfile fell 8 places to the 17th position. kamilrybnik fell 6 places to the 24th position. zingman fell 14 places to the 38th position. motembapembe the largest faller in the top 50 fell 22 places in to the 41st position. Beyond the top 50, lawhkx out of the top 50, 26 places to the 57th position. tchayna last week’s rising fell 25 places to the 59th position.
Newcomers: Although newcomers come onto the platform (ashanti room) on an almost daily basis, none of them made any significant advances for them to be noticed.
Mini Marathon Matches: lordsoso & harrison01 played an eight-game match resulting in a 7 – draw defeat for harrison01. lawhkx & lordsoso played an eleven-game match resulting 5 – 5. kamilrybnik & tchayna played a nine-game match resulting in a 7 – 2. harrison01 engaged lordsoso in a 34-game marathon match resulting in an 18 – 16 win for lordsoso. panfile & harrison01 played an 11-game match resulting in an 8 - draw – 2. masterfisz & wkc1342 played a nine-game match resulting in a 4 – 5 win for wkc1342. wkc1342 & masterfisz played a nine-game match resulting in a 5 – 4 win for wkc1342. wkc1342 & kamilrybnik played an eleven-game match resulting in a 7 – 2 draw – 2 win form wkc1342. zingman & lordsoso played a marathon 27-game match resulting in a 14 – draw -12 win for zingman.
Practice Tournament: The 25th Practice Tournament was a tightly contested competition with no one player dominating the proceedings. In total twelve players took part, with two newcomers making their debue. In a tournament where everyone lost a game, the eventual winner after losing a game and drawing one was monkftw with 5.5 points. chronica and oware22 came in 2nd & 3rd place respectively both with 5.0. ddi and harrison01 also with 5.0 placed 4th & 5th respectively.
